James’ practice includes a wide array of legal services including: business-related matters, real estate transactions, debt settlement negotiations, taxation matters, trust and estates planning, and personal injury litigation.

A large focus of James’ practice includes the representation of clients in motor vehicle accidents, work-related accidents, fall-down cases, construction site accidents, and wrongful death cases.

James received his B.B.A. from Hofstra University in 2012 with a concentration in Legal Studies in Business. In 2018 he received his J.D., along with a certificate in Intellectual Property: Technology, Law, and Business, from Seton Hall University School of Law. While attending Seton Hall he was president of the Tax Law Society and a volunteer tax advisor for VITA where he received a Pro Bono Distinction from the Center for Social Justice. While in law school James clerked at a variety of Bergen County law firms where he gained experience in a vast array of practice areas including: commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and development; trust & estate planning and litigation; commercial real estate tax appeals; bankruptcy and debt settlements; commercial litigation; and personal Injury.

After law school James continued with his legal education and received his LL.M in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center in 2020. While James was pursuing his LLM in Taxation he worked in the NY Metro Indirect Tax Group at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, where he focused on indirect tax merger & acquisition transactions for telecommunications companies and consulted foreign companies on the indirect tax implications of their US inbound activities.

Prior to joining Agrapidis & Maroules, P.C., James worked at a large regional New Jersey law firm as a taxation and estate planning attorney where his practice focused primarily on tax, estate, gift and asset protection planning for individuals, businesses and non-profit organizations.

James is an active member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the Bergen County Bar Association, the Hellenic American Bar Association, and the American Bar Association, Section on Taxation.
